After having played together in various ensembles for some time, we, Henk de Ligt and Ed Baatsen, decided in 1994 to form a group with which we could perform our own compositions exclusively.

Music without concessions, without compromise.

As it happened, Nils van Haften and Wim Kegel were likeminded.  Our excellent relationship on musical and personal levels has brought about a unique collaboration.  This, amongst other things, has meant our music has been able to evolve in such a way in the last 10 years that we dare to state that Special Delivery has established its own place in the Dutch jazz scene.

The national press reviews of "Bento", our second CD, especially confirm this statement.  The third CD titled "Special Delivery" was launched on 7 April 2002, in the Calypso theatre in Rotterdam.  Our latest and fourth CD, called "Song" was launched on 24 February 2004, in the Evenaar in Rotterdam.
